Charlotte Dempster

Prior to joining the firm in 2021 as a trainee, Charlotte obtained her LLB at the University of Aberdeen before completing her Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow. Charlotte qualified into the family law team in 2023 and is a member of the Family Law Association. 

Charlotte has significant experience in child-related matters, with a particular focus on cases involving relocation, adoption, and residence orders. She regularly appears in the Sheriff Court and has extensive experience instructing Counsel in the Court of Session.

Alongside this, Charlotte works closely with the team providing advice on complex financial provision cases. She is also frequently instructed by local authorities to secure guardianship orders for adults with incapacity. 

Charlotte has been commended by clients for her professional, calm and sensitive approach during what are often highly challenging circumstances.
