Jack advises individuals and families on tax-efficient succession strategies, lifetime estate planning, and the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney. He also supports clients with more specialised planning needs, including the settlement and management of trusts and the administration of complex estates.
Jack helps clients and advisers with long-term planning solutions that preserve wealth across generations. He has particular expertise in advising on succession to agricultural businesses and landed estates, navigating the legal and tax complexities of business relief and agricultural property relief.
Jack joined as a trainee in 2013, qualified as a solicitor in 2015, and became a Partner in 2021. He values building lasting relationships with clients, often advising multiple generations on estate planning strategies tailored to their unique needs.
He is a Notary Public and a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the leading global body for professionals in inheritance and succession planning. From 2018 to 2025, Jack served as Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.
