Louise is a Senior Paralegal in our Later Life team, with over 20 years’ experience supporting clients through later life planning. She works one-to-one with individuals and their families, whether they are living at home or in residential care, offering compassionate and practical support tailored to each client’s needs.
Her work includes helping clients remain in their own homes or find suitable care accommodation, coordinating house clearances, and assisting with property sales. Louise also helps clients access home aids, befriending services, and government benefits, ensuring they receive the support they’re entitled to.
She builds strong relationships with clients and professionals—including medics, social workers, and care home managers—and makes referrals where needed. Her support is often bespoke and hands-on, reflecting a deep understanding of the challenges faced by older individuals and their families.
Louise regularly attends professional development training, including courses on dementia, bereavement, hearing loss, and equality and diversity, which enhance her ability to provide informed and empathetic care.
Caring for the Elderly
This week (13 to 17 June) is Loneliness Awareness Week hosted by the Marmalade Trust. Everyone can experience loneliness, and this has never been more apparent than after the uncertainty many have experienced in the past two years as a result of the global pandemic. The aim of the campaign is to get people talking and to reduce the stigma, which can be associated with admitting you are lonely.
