The Challenge
Colette suffered significant psychological injury following the stillbirth of her daughter. NHS Grampian had not provided the level of antenatal care that should have been offered, particularly given that Colette had several factors that placed her pregnancy at higher risk. In the period leading up to her due date, Colette raised concerns with the hospital, but these were not investigated properly. The loss of her daughter continues to have a profound and lasting impact on her.
