MFMac becomes Official Legal Supporter of the Homeless World Cup Foundation

Partnership brings together two Scottish organisations committed to creating positive change on a global stage.

The Homeless World Cup Foundation has announced a new partnership with leading Scottish law firm Morton Fraser MacRoberts (MFMac), who will join the organisation as an Official Legal Supporter.
Rooted in Scotland and operating on a global stage, both organisations share a commitment to using their expertise to create meaningful and lasting impact.

As part of the partnership, MFMac will provide legal expertise and advisory support to the Homeless World Cup Foundation, helping strengthen the organisation’s global infrastructure as it continues to grow and support its network of 75 Homeless World Cup Member Countries.

The Homeless World Cup Foundation works year-round to support programmes that use football to tackle homelessness and create pathways into housing, employment and education.

Its annual tournament, which has been held since 2003, brings together over 50 teams and 500 players from around the world, providing a powerful platform for change.

MFMac’s role will be to help the Foundation navigate the complexities of operating a tournament of this scale, while contributing to the long-term development and sustainability of the organisation.

Alastair Marks, CEO at the Homeless World Cup Foundation, said:

“This is a really special partnership for us. It brings together two Scottish organisations with a global reach and a shared belief in using our expertise to create positive change.

As we continue to grow as a Foundation supporting 75 Homeless World Cup Member Countries around the world, having trusted legal support alongside us is incredibly important. MFMac’s experience and insight will help strengthen what we do behind the scenes, enabling us to focus on delivering impact where it matters most. We are excited to see where this partnership can take us.”

Chris Harte, CEO at MFMac, added:

"We are proud to support the Homeless World Cup Foundation and the extraordinary work it does around the world. Football is deeply embedded in communities across Scotland and plays a powerful role in creating opportunity, inclusion and positive change.
This partnership reflects our commitment to using our expertise to support organisations making a genuine difference, and we look forward to working with the Foundation as it continues to grow and deliver impact globally."

The partnership will also explore opportunities for collaboration across storytelling, thought leadership and engagement, helping to highlight the role that strong legal foundations play in enabling global social impact.
