Cameron is a highly experienced planning and development lawyer who supports developers, landowners, investors, public sector bodies and infrastructure providers on complex and high‑value projects. His advice is commercially focused, strategic and grounded in a deep understanding of how planning law impacts development viability and delivery.
As a planning law specialist, Cameron advises on the full lifecycle of development projects. His work includes strategic planning advice, planning due diligence for property and corporate transactions, negotiating planning obligations and agreements, and advising on environmental impact assessment, roads and access issues, and compulsory purchase powers. He works across a broad range of sectors, including residential, commercial, retail, energy, infrastructure and mixed‑use developments.
A core element of Cameron’s practice is planning and development‑related litigation. He regularly represents clients in planning appeals, local development plan examinations and public inquiries, and has extensive experience guiding clients through statutory appeals and judicial review proceedings in the Scottish courts. He is known for his ability to manage sensitive and high‑stakes disputes while keeping clients’ commercial objectives firmly in focus.
