Erica is a Legal Director in our Construction team.
Erica advises both public and private sector clients on construction disputes, in relation to time, money and defective works. Erica often provides early contractual advice in order to assist clients in avoiding formal dispute resolution proceedings. However, she is also experienced in both pursuing and defending claims in adjudication, arbitration and litigation.
Erica has experience with understanding and utilising contractual mechanisms within complex project documentation, including on transport, education and health projects. She also has experience with disputes in the energy sector for both renewables and nuclear projects.
Erica has a particular interest in building safety and in advising on claims arising from the changes in law in relation to combustible cladding and other building safety issues.

The Commercial Payments Bill continues to progress through Parliament, with proposed reforms to retentions, payment terms and the powers of the Small Business Commissioner set to impact the Scottish construction industry.
