Legal Director

Stewart is a Legal Director in MFMac’s Corporate Finance team. He advises businesses on a broad range of corporate matters, with a particular focus on complex and high-value transactions.

His practice includes business incorporations, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, shareholder exits, dissolutions and windings up, and joint ventures.

Stewart supports clients through significant transactions and strategic business changes, helping them navigate both day-to-day corporate matters and more complex instructions. He is particularly focused on delivering practical, commercially minded advice that supports clients' wider objectives.

He works with a diverse client base, ranging from sole traders and family-owned businesses to SMEs, pension funds and public limited companies. Stewart has a particular focus on the healthcare sector, advising healthcare providers and related businesses alongside clients operating across a wide range of industries.

Known for his straightforward and approachable style, Stewart focuses on the issues that matter most to his clients, providing clear and pragmatic advice. Alongside his legal practice, he is an Enterprise Partner at the University of Strathclyde and tutors on the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow. He is also a member of the Law Society of Scotland.
